Arnaya is an active residential community by the sea. A series of buildings with public and cultural programs is built along the coast facing the ocean. A music studio will soon join this community. This building will be able to host professional recording and performing studios as well as provide and area for outdoor leisure and performances.
The building sits on top of a sand dune as a sculptural red concrete volume. The main space feature is a 360 degree amphitheater of performance space. The volume is deconstructed into four fragments. When reconstructed vertically, the space forms a 180-degree outdoor public amphitheater, two indoor casual performing area, and a 120-degree roof top theater. Thus these performance spaces with different dimensions are organized in and out of the building and also function as vertical circulations. The composition of an open box with amphitheater fragments is articulated according programmatic and technical requirements. The acoustical effect at the 180-degree outdoor theater will create a dialogue between building and nature. During the summer concert festival, this building can also be used as a 3-dimensional stage on the beach.
